Start a WiM-Africa Chapter

Coordinated By The Directorate For Operations & Secretariat Services

One Continent. Many Voices. Shared Results.

WiM-Africa invites passionate individuals, students, professionals, cooperatives, and networks to establish recognized chapters across Africa and globally. Chapters serve as local hubs of action, advocacy, and empowerment aligned with WiM-Africa’s Seven Point Program Agenda.

Become part of a WiM-Africa Global Thematic Chapter aligned with your expertise or interest and contribute to continental programs and collaboration. WiM-Africa’s Global Thematic Chapters are innovation hubs aligned with our Strategic Focus Areas and Seven Point Program Agenda.
By joining, you become part of a continental community of practice focused on specific themes like ESG, youth leadership, ASM, digital advocacy, and more.
Members contribute expertise, support pilot programs, and co-lead change across Africa’s mining ecosystem—no matter where they are based.

Chapter Naming Options

When establishing a chapter, you may choose from one of the two approved naming formats:

  1. WiM-Africa [Institution/Location] Chapter

    Example: WiM-Africa Copperbelt University Chapter

  2. [Institution/Location] Chapter of WiM-Africa

Example: Copperbelt University Chapter of WiM-Africa

Both formats are acceptable. Chapter names must reflect the host institution, community, or region clearly and maintain association with the WiM-Africa brand.
