The WiM-Africa Advisory Board brings together distinguished leaders, experts, and advocates from across Africa and the global mining ecosystem to provide strategic counsel, institutional guidance, and thought leadership to Women in Mining Africa (WiM-Africa).

The Board plays a critical role in shaping WiM-Africa’s long-term vision, strengthening its governance, and supporting the implementation of its Five-Year Action Plan (2025–2030), which serves as the organization’s continental roadmap for gender equity, sustainable mining, and inclusive economic empowerment.

The Advisory Board exists to support WiM-Africa’s mission through high-level strategic input, institutional credibility, and global networks. Members provide independent perspectives that strengthen the organization’s ability to scale programs, influence policy, mobilize partnerships, and deliver measurable impact across Africa’s mining sector.

While the Board does not engage in day-to-day management, its guidance informs key decisions on strategy, partnerships, growth, and systems design—ensuring that WiM-Africa remains accountable, future-facing, and continentally relevant.

The Advisory Board provides strategic guidance across WiM-Africa’s core priority areas, including:

• Implementation of the Five-Year Action Plan (2025–2030)
• Governance, institutional development, and long-term sustainability
• Strategic partnerships and international cooperation
• Policy advocacy and systems reform
• Research, data, and evidence-based programming
• Ethical, inclusive, and responsible mining practices
• Leadership development for women across the mineral value chain

The Board helps position WiM-Africa as a continental platform for transformation—not just a network.
