WiM-Africa Research & Data Hub
Across Africa’s mineral sector, one challenge persists: the absence of credible, gender-responsive, and Africa-led data.
Women-led mining enterprises remain undocumented. Safety realities in mining communities are underreported. Gender-disaggregated data rarely informs policy, financing, or ESG accountability frameworks.
The WiM-Africa Research & Data Hub was established to change that.
Operating under Agenda 6 of WiM-Africa’s Seven-Point Program Agenda and led by the Directorate of Strategy, Planning & Research, the Hub serves as WiM-Africa’s continental knowledge platform and foundational pillar of the WiM-Africa Institute for Leadership, Sustainable Mining & Value Addition.
