💥WiM-Africa is now registered and/or trademarked in 22 African countries, as well as in the USA and the UK—a remarkable milestone in our #governance and #growth journey. 💥
In a continent marked by diverse and complex regulatory landscapes, securing our #legal presence ensures that WiM-Africa can roll out impactful #initiatives that are locally anchored, contextually responsive, and community driven.
We are proud to acknowledge the exceptional work of our volunteer legal team, led by Dr. Victoria Ghantous (Esq.), with strong support from Comfort Asokoro-Ogaji (Ph.D), our Executive Director, whose passion and #leadership continue to drive real #impact.
We also extend our heartfelt appreciation to our institutional partners who have supported us on this journey—particularly those contributing to our legal and structural expansion. Your belief in our #mission and continued #collaboration are vital to anchoring WiM-Africa’s work in legal #legitimacy and #operational #strength across the continent.
This achievement is more than administrative—it is #strategic.
As we continue to grow, this strong legal foundation enables us to forge credible #partnerships in-country, and deliver #programs that truly transform the lives of women in mining across #Africa.
Our value is delivered through three distinct Strategic Fronts that reflect our #uniqueness:
✍🏽✍🏽 Coalition & Capacity Building for Women in Mining
✍🏽✍🏽 Advocacy for Women in Mining & Mining Host Communities
✍🏽✍🏽 Economic Empowerment & Sustainable Development
We celebrate this progress—and remain committed to driving meaningful, grassroots-led change across the continent.
